New Year, New Path : Placenta Works Stays the Course as Founder Transitions

Thank you friends, clients, and referral sources for your continued support, and another great year here with Placenta Works.  We are honored that you all have put your trust in the professional services of Placenta Works for your postpartum wellness, and/or for referring your clients/patients.  We look forward to serving more new moms and families in 2016 and beyond, as we continue to grow.

I , Brenda, started this journey of becoming acquainted with the amazing placenta and all of its postpartum benefits almost 9 years ago. (Read more about my start HERE) Serving this community for the last 9 years has brought so much richness into my life– there are moments, people, and places that I will always cherish in my heart, and there will never be enough words or space to express my gratitude for these experiences.  While growing this business and our team, I learned many lessons, forged new relationships, and experienced both challenges and abundant blessings.

While on the start of this journey, I was reluctant to share my research or the service I was providing, since placenta encapsulation (PE) was considered taboo and the general public was not yet educated.  Awareness needed to be raised and that is exactly what I started doing, as I educated and pioneered the path of placenta encapsulation for postpartum wellness in NC/SC. As the first provider in my state to openly offer this service, I started serving my friends, who saw such a difference in my postpartum period.  They needed what I had.  That grew to serving not only the coast of NC/SC, but other areas in these states and other states as well.  I have trained and mentored many PE specialists, including overseas.  The number of PE specialists and training options locally, nationally, and globally, has grown exponentially over the 9 years.  Do you know what that means?  More moms are encapsulating their placentas and basking in the benefits of PE.  That makes my heart smile big!

Last year, mid year, was 8 years for my placenta journey.  Not only is 8 the number of new beginnings, we were also in an 8 year last year. (2+0+1+5 = 8 if you are into numbers like I am) It fits right in, that after having a tugging on my heart for a while, it was now time to put the PE forerunner calling behind me and follow the passions being re-ignited within me.  I needed to be true to myself and answer another deeper calling of my soul, and also, other important responsibilities were pulling me elsewhere.  As I began exploring new paths, I began seeking for a release of my energies from Placenta Works, and I found that my new team member Stephanie was an eager and capable apprentice. It was perfect timing for Stephanie to step up and take care of some of my responsibilities, as I was behind the scenes laying the foundation for my private holistic healing practice.  For the last year, Stephanie has been preparing for this transition and taking on an increasingly greater leadership role in the company.  Stephanie came right in with passion for PE, for the team, the community, and in helping Placenta Works to grow.   She has offered the same great service, ambition, and passion for the last year as I always have.  As the new leader of Placenta Works, I trust she will carry on the mantle to insure continued growth and implementation of our plans. Although this is a big transition for Stephanie and I, know that the customer interface is not changing.  I am both excited and relieved to now have the freedom to take the next steps on the path that has been calling me.

As I step into my new role, I will continue to collaborate with Stephanie and Placenta Works, offering my services not only to new moms, but also to the general public. Over the years, I have worked with several healing modalities including but not limited to emotion code healing, aromatherapy, energy healing, and intuitive guidance. Over the past year, in addition to continuing to study and practice these modalities, I have earned my final teaching degree in energy healing and I also completed training for my hypnotherapist certification. I also became a Certified HypnoBirthing® Practitioner, due to my love for natural birth, teaching, and believing in a mother’s ability to birth in calmness as she and baby direct their own birth.  I will be coupling many of these learned modalities along with my own personal gifts and talents to provide uniquely customized sessions for people who desire to go deeper within and heal patterns, ailments, and mis-alignments.  My deep desire is for humanity to live in their wholeness, by re-membering who they are and the power they hold within.

Though I trust this transition will go smoothly, I appreciate you sending your positive thoughts, prayers and energy to help me blaze this new path.  If you would like to see where this new journey continues to take me and receive detailed information on services, upcoming private sessions, workshops, classes, and more click HERE to stay connected!
